Gone

Gone.
Just like that
he disappeared
from this mortal life.

His dreams,
his happiness.
All taken
by Lady Justice.

Who gave her the right?
Who made her almighty?
They say she’s blind.
All she do is bind.

His soul crumbles
in the darkness.
The sob can be heard
through the cell blocks.

And it’s that he didn’t expected this.
Lady Justice blinded him,
with false hopes of
holidays to come.

For gifts and love.
From tears of joy.
From the warmest hug.
Confinement.

The sun will rise again,
and the pain of yesterday
will forever be there, reminding him.
Torture.

But the strength of his loves ones prevail,
gives him hope.
It makes him fight,
the dark thoughts.

For now a letter will do.
A couple of seconds
to hear his voice.
TIME.

The world will never know,
how she tricked him.
All it will know is that for now he is

Gone.

The Lost and the Light

I carry my pickaxe
Everywhere I go.
It helps me battle
The darkness that follows.

He builds a wall,
Trying to protect
The dimmest light
That's left inside.

I need that light.
No matter how dim,
No matter how bright,
I need that light.

It will help me
Win my battle.
Outgrown,
The darkness that follows.

Tall and strong
Is this wall of his.
I hit it with my pickax
And down my spine goes a chill.

I won't let him still my light,
A voice screams
Behind, behind
The tall and strong wall.

But the light had its own struggle.
It fancied the warrior,
And also the boy behind the wall.
Conflicted.

The pickax hit harder,
And the wall grew taller.
But the kid got tired.
So did the warrior.

The light got free,
And a sob was heard.
The kid's biggest fear
Had come to life.

The warrior noticed.
He hit the wall.
The wall tremble,
And started to fall.

Face to face
For the first time
They were...
The kid and the warrior.

I've seen you before,
Said the kid.
I think that I know you,
Said the warrior.

The time stood still,
And a big silence followed.
Lost in each other's stares,
They dropped to their knees.

This time the light spoke.
Strong and sincere,
Calmed...
Scared...

 Behold,
In front of you lies
Your past.
In front of you lies
Your future.

Perplexed,
They look at each other.
Wondering...
Remembering.

Once you were whole,
The light spoke.
Happiness and joy,
Strength and determination; fear.

But life hit you,
Hard and relentless.
You gave up,
And armed up.

You carry that pickax,
Everywhere you go.
It makes you feel stronger,
But inside you're not.

It was that happiness,
That joy;
It kept you going
Even when the dark was following.

But you let me go,
And lost your soul became.
The darkness grew darker,
Your heart got harder.

When more scared you were,
You remembered it then.
You didn't know it was me,
You didn't know I was you.

But you need each other!
Because, when you're one
You outshine the darkness,
 For once.

You must accept
The choices you made.
Now let's us be one
And fixed what once got wrecked.

With a nod both acknowledge,
And the light shined bright.
It fused both souls
Together as one.

Now they face life,
Together.
Out shining the darkness,
As swift as a feather.

The Price of Magic

Found myself in a dark place once.
Scary thoughts ran through my mind,
Making me feel and see horrible things.
Help me I screamed.

How long has it been?
Days? Weeks?
Months? Years?
I screamed once more.

Lost in the shadows,
There he was too.
A knight in shinning armor,
Whose light was dimming.

He raised his sword by instinct,
Trying to protect himself.
He also has been through a lot.

He looked into my eyes,
Then he smiled.
Help had arrived,
For me… for him.

We hold each other.
We stumbled in the dark,
But we held each other.
Firmly.

As we walked, the darkness faded.
His shine returned,
And so did my hopes.
We charged forward.

Comfortable we got too fast.
Once out of the darkness,
Our lives began to thrive.
It was all a mirage.

When we least expected,
The darkness came back.
Just like a curse,
It was just a trap.

Our love was magic,
And it always comes with a price.
Our price was his freedom,

And my broken heart.
